The Sonesta Beach Hotel, a very nice place, will be closed until next year for repairs. Hard to believe, but a boat was blown into a third floor room during the storm.

Early in the Storm
At this point were having sustained winds of 40 to 50 mph. Between 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM we had a period with sustained winds above 100 MPH and gust to 150. For about an hour sustained winds were about 125 mph. (Pretty windy)
My wind direction indicator
During the storm, this tree outside my window was the most reliable indicator of the storms progress through Bermuda. It is blowing towards the NE at about 11:00 in the morning. By the end of the storm it had moved all the way around and was pointing directly at the window making it unwise to take another picture.

Note the gazebo in the background. It is about to relocate to the the street. The bend in the support is not an optical illusion.
