Struction Project

I'm not sure whether it's de- or construction. Like Arthur Dent in the famed Hitchhiker's Guide Trilogy (of 5 volumes), I woke up one morning and looked out on a yellowish bulldozerish piece of struction equipment outside my window. Luckily, they hadn't come to run a bypass through my house. Unluckily, they came for the trees. And some other things. Newer photos are at the end.

burning the midnight oil	the wall	awesome toys (excavator)
the CAT's muscles	daybreak	CAT tracks
after the whistle blows	rust bucket	CATs on the prowl
sunset along the wall	clear view of the 'pit'	rich, soft New England soil
the big CAT at dusk	the tracks seem to lead here	the little CAT
blade	will the circle be unbroken?	Swiss Army CAT

Never attempt to photograph builders or construction workers in London (England). There I was, sitting in my van getting some shots of a place for someone as a request. Suddenly I became aware of a large group of people shouting some very rude words, and making some very obscene gestures,,,all directed at me. Being a practising survivalist, I had the engine started, gear lever in sports mode, and moved away at the speed of light. Well at the speed of a 2.5 turbo diesel VW anyway. Discounting the fact that this was not a bunch of jealous husbands looking for me. I went back later to check it out, to get the shot mainly, I am really dedicated. Across the road from where I had been sitting was a building site. That explained everything, with all our building be done by illegal immigrants with no paperwork, a man pointing a big camera at them working is their deadly enemy. And I could not explain to them what was happenning as their only English consists of the aforesaid foul language. So that is why there is a paucity of pictures of constructionalists in my gallerys.

It's refreshing to see you don't share the intellectual snobbery of the Northeast, Dave. We're beyond tolerating. Perhaps if you approached them one by one the task would be easier?

I think they are British n's, so forget about finding an adapter. Use them in their natural state.
