How many starlings...

North Providence, RI

...does it take to chase away a hawk?
Surprisingly few, which proves how annoying they are.
Scratch that. The answer is none, as these are
not starlings.

They are not starlings, not even close. I think they are common grackles -- grackles
swarm and attack larger birds, just like these did. They are not American crows or
ravens, as they have gray under-wings and bright-colored eyes.
