Hello, Friends: Joshua Tree National Park, in Southern California, U.S.A. was established initially as a national monument, but after several years, it was designated as a national park. I have visited it several times in the past. I renewed a visit few days ago and I am now going to give you a photo tour of this scenic land of Joshua trees and some spectacular rock formations. It is a vast land, about 150 miles Eastward from the Los Angeles area and is reached easily in roughly 2 hours time. Besides the graceful Joshua trees and elegant rocky formations, it has a Cholla Cactus desert garden which can be a photographer's delight! The characteristic surface and texture of the Cholla cactus can be greatly enhanced with backlighting from the sun. And, as if it's not enough, it also is a Rock Climbers' paradise! Enjoy.
