USS Constitution Launched in 1797 after being built at Hartt’s Shipyard in Boston, the USS Constitution was designed to be a fast and powerful warship. It cost more than $300,000 and 2,000 trees to build this new kind of ship but the USS Constitution would prove to be worth every penny. |
