FREE FAMILY FESTIVAL IN THE PARK FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Tucson Parks and Recreation presented its 6th Annual Family Festival in the Park Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Reid Park, 22nd Street and Country Club.

The free, annual, community-wide event was about having family fun, and a terrific opportunity for Tucson Parks and Recreation to showcase the people, programs and activities offered to the community.

Family activities included stage entertainment, carnival games, crafts, golf clinic, tennis games, and demonstrations of pottery, drawing, health and fitness offered by the leisure class unit. Admission to the Reid Park Zoo was free from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and the Zoo Express featured free train rides around the park’s large pond. The Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center hosted an afternoon of free swimming, and Tucson City Golf offered a free, 10-minute, golf instruction at the Randolph Driving Range adjacent to the park on Alvernon Way.
