What wonderful doors - they look very old - makes me want to see what's behind them ! V

Was hard to tell the scale of this at first sight, my thought was 1933 "King Kong" ...it's smaller but still massive.

An impressive gate. I'm surprised that the wall needs some work. Money must be tight. I like that Scallop shell in relief.

Very interesting in that this is obviously a property that is going downhill.
Strange for a Vanderbilt Estate, as I would expect it to be run by the Historical Society or some such similarity. I might say that this was owned by the "poor" Vanderbilts, but I do not think such an animal exists.

I agree this door is a work of art, and the condition of the wall doesn't help showing it off

Fascinating door, made even more interesting by the wear and the cracks in the stucco. "V"

This interesting door must have cost a few bucks to configure/build. Well captured Jane.

Amazing door, the wall and posts need some attention.

What a fine old wooden door. It looks like it's stood the test of time better than the stonework!

a wood-working wonder...the urn-topped columns are a fine feature too, cracks and all..

Wow, beautiful gate in this well composed image. Reminds me of some in Saudi Arabia! V.
