Bob and I went back to Santa Cruz, California, in late September to, once again, look after a house and a dog while the owners were away in Italy. During the two weeks while we were there we enjoyed the local surroundings - Natural Bridges Stste Park, Lighthouse Field, West Cliff Drive, Neary Lagoon, Antonelli Pond. We spent time with daughters Cliffi and Adrienne, and visited old friends. Jane also did two pelagic birding trips out of Monterey Bay. We spend about 5 weeks every year in Santa Cruz, making it a kind of "home away from home."
