Black and White Zone Plate Photographs

Zone plate images are the result of diffraction instead of refraction. The glow that appears in the highlights and the blurring of the edges, infusing the forms with a glint of the numinous, fascinate me. I love the elusive and haunting quality of these images and the dark beauty they convey visually.

Jane,
I worked all my life in advertising (in Brazil). Due to my work I saw thousands of photos. Seldon I saw an artist that was true to herself as you are. I see roots and secret gardens and God things coughed out in every one of them. I remembered the artist Paul Klee, perhaps in the titles, perhaps in your solitude. Congratulations indeed...
