Carowinds is my home park, so to say the least I love it dearly. I want the best for the park, and I hate it when other people talk bad about it. This probably makes me a fanboy and a homer, so I guess that's what I am. Carowinds is home to my first ever coaster, Scooby Doo, my first ever looper, Cyclone, as well as the coaster I feel responsible for 'turning' me enthusiast, Top Gun.

Speaking of Top Gun it has to be one of the most underrated coasters as it rarely gets mentioned in the same breath as Raptor, Alpie, Montu, Talon, Nemesis et al. While Top Gun is undoubtedly the star of the show, it has a great supporting steel cast in Borg, Cyclone, and yes even Vortex has redeeming qualities. It also has a great bunch of woodies in Thunder Road, Hurler, and Fairly Odd Coaster. Perhaps the best part of Carowinds is the numerous family rides, which include the coasters Goldrusher, Super Saturator, Ricochet, Runaway Reptar, and Hey Arnold's Taxi Chase.

Like all parks, Carowinds has a few flaws, the major one being that the tallest coaster in the park is *only* 115 feet tall (Borg). Another thing is that the park lacks is flats, but with the addition of 2 in 2005, as well as the other Paramount Parks getting a few in the past few years, they are hopefully working on that.
