For some reason I don't have any photos from my second last day on this trip. I'm not sure why, maybe I left the camera at the hotel or something. On that day which was a Sunday, I remember I went to a later service at the church than the previous Sunday (they had 5 services on Sundays with about 3000 people in each!). At this service I was taken care of by a group of young professionals who were around the same age and life stage as me (it was only 6 months prior that I completed my Bachelors Degree). After church they brought me to the food court at the Siam Centre for lunch, I spent the whole afternoon chatting with these wonderful Thai brothers and sisters. After that two of the young ladies brought me to a Thai restaurant that was near the church. It was in a very traditional looking building made from wood, I remember that it began to rain just before sunset. Coming from Perth (where most of the rainfall is in the winter), the rain like that on a hot day was a very out of the ordinary experience. Combine that with the aromas and tastes of spicy Thai food and good company, the memory is still vivid even without any photos of it.

Well this shot is airside at Don Muang Airport, I have vivid memories of this place too. Like all of the “Beauty Queens” (well they looked like Beauty Queens and they had sashes) selling perfume and buying a massive packet of Toblerone from the Duty Free shop.
