Tuk Tuk

Bangkok, Thailand

After spending most of the morning swimming laps in the pool at the hotel while chatting with Ian, we decided to go for a walk and look for a place to have some lunch. It was somewhere around here that we stopped for a bowl of chicken and noddle soup (similar to Japanese Ramen, but more spicy).

This vehicle is know as a "tuk tuk", the driver sits on a motor bike seat at the front while the passengers sit in the seat at the back. I've heard stories from others about doggy tuk tuk drivers who take you around to lots of shops before actually taking you to your destination, etc. Personally I had no trouble at all when I rode on them. The people at the church gave me a list of how much I should pay for each destination, so I just handed the driver the correct fare and walked away at the end of each trip.

BTW the this shot is a little shaky, which I can't explain because it's a fully auto camera and I was using iso400 film in the middle of the day which mean I should have got a fast enough shot for the 35mm focal length. Sometimes funny things like this happened with this camera.
