July 06 Trip ...Boxes packed and now in Joel's Church
From school supplies, medicine, and used clothes and shoes all boxed up and ready for the airport.
I was allowed a certain amount thanks to Paula at Canada One Travel and Air Canada. When I got to the airport it was noted that I was allowed 10 pieces in total - I had 16!
Thanks also to Lori and Caroline at the Winnipeg Airport for helping me out. They allowed me to take all of the boxes and my luggage at no extra charge and forwarded them on to the DR for me.
Paul Hamm-my good friend-after getting up early for me took me to the airport.
No glitches until the airport in the Dominican, no surpise there.
After them realizing I wasn't going to pay much ( I paid a little) they finally let the medicines go.
That night everything that the companies and people donated made it to Joel's church in Los Charimicos.
A few miracles along the way I believe and some very generous and helpful people made this possible.
Thanks to all.
And special thanks to Mary Lee Friesen (mom) for taking such a huge interest and helping so much.
