James I enjoyed this gallery very much. This is very original and I have tried atz times to do something with fireworks and never really liked whazt I did. Now I may try again. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing.

Interesting results. I think this is a really great technique. Sometimes, our cameras don't behave the way we think we want them to--most people might tend to want to make their fireworks photos tack sharp and clear. When that's not possible, it's nice to use what you have and make something unique out of it. So you can't get a clear picture? Then exploit the motion blur and create colorful abstract images. People pay big money for an artist to splatter a bunch of paint onto a canvas. This is no different. I could easily see these hanging on a wall in someone's apartment.
