The valley opens up in this area providing flat lands that lend to better use of paddy fields. The main village is about 1.5km's to the north. A fish pond can be seen in the foreground with a fish nest that offers shade and protection for fingerlings.

Tall Cunninghamia can be seen on the mountains sides. What appears as shrubs or much smaller tree near the Cunninghamia are tea trees that are grown for the seed they produce of which tea tree oil is expelled and used in cooking.
