Early morning steamed bread.

I shot this image about 10 months ago (today is Oct. 24, 06) but I never worked with it. I always remember it for the lighting but other things came up. I finally dug into the digital files and proccessed it for this gallery. It came out just as I remembered the early morning scene. This was shot with a Canon 350D and a 17-35L lens metering off of the highlights.

I was just flicking through pictures for the surrounding area of Fenghuang (impending trip) and came across your photos. Immensely taken aback with your pictures. I relish the way the smoke emulates his face on this particular shot.

This is an amazing image. Just a touch of light where it matters most - his wrinkled, weathered hands numb to the hot steam, his focused expression and the hot wispy steam. Brilliant expression using natural side lighting!
