This was June 13th and like two days before that it was raining. As we ascended for the next 7 or 8 miles on this rough dirt road, we accepted that we would be walking in the rain carrying clothes and hoping not everything would get soaked. Fortunately the rain was lighter than two days prior and cleared later in the day.
