I photographed this on a major street corner where puppies and kittens are often sold for pets. Most of the time the animals are treated fairly well but at times I see them dehydrated and in cages so small that there is little room for the animal to move. Bird cages are often used for cats and I have seen puppies hit if they cry because they are thirsty.
