Not enough of or the right pain medications. End stage cancer is an empty stage. I examined this woman and felt empty inside when I saw her breast with all the classic signs of breast cancer. She can only take short gasps of air due to the pain and tightness within her chest. I have contacted the local hospital to get her the correct treatment and care. Life, if possible, should have dignity with care. I wait and hope that she will get the correct care to make her life more tolerable.

Update: Pain medication was obtained and for 3 weeks, before her death, she was able to smile and feel relief and spend some quality time with her family.
