Your artwork is fantastic! The subjects are great and the quality of the images is very sharp.
If you were interested in participating in my Street Musicians project I'd be honored to feature your art.
This comment is for all photographers who love to immortalize street musicians with their art.
I am working on a non-profit project intended to support street musicians and to raise awareness about their wonderful gift of music and harsh but interesting life.
My intent is to collect image of street musicians from around the world and to create an audio-visual piece. I am a photographer my self and so far I have taken pictures of street musicians from USA, Mexico, Eastern Europe, and Western Europe, but I would like to include more images. To make this project truly global I would like to invite other international photographers to participate in it by sending their images.
When completed the audio-visual tribute to street musicians will be shown in California USA, Eastern Europe, Italy, and perhaps England.
Every photographer and/or musician who participates in this project will be credited and will gain exposure.
If you are interested in participating in this project and in contributing to it, please contact me at
Best to all,
Great pictuers! What city or cities were they taken?
I feel ashamed I had not seen this gallery before and I feel ashamed of mine I have a slightly similar ( only as subject) gallery and after looking at yours I nearly feel like cancelling my pictures Oh well, maybe its just a way to be stimulated to do better, I keep on learning.
I simply wanted to let you know that I had not any intention to copy your subjects I think you have been able to catch the spirit of the street players and I adore your gallery, that Im going to vote immediately
Fantastic collections of images! As a guitarist I really appreciate the skill and sensitivity with which you captured these shots. Congratulations, Jal ~ you really are a fine photographer!
Best regards, Chris
Love the toe socks on the girl. Very cool fashion statement.
You are a person after my own heart! I have a similar gallery in pbase called Buskers of Sydney (buskers being street performers - not necessarily musicians even if they proclaim to be so!) Some really great images here - well done.

Great work, once again, Jal.
Hi,there is much talent to see,all these engaged musicians.I am especially amused about the young violinists, they seem so serious that maybe they are the next generation of the Seattle Symphonic Orchestra (does it exist?)to get accustomed to public appearance and success, and not at least your photographic talent,Jal,execellent work as always.
I enjoy so much of this portfolio. Your eyes captured so much of the life, at all ages...
Another great gallery, Jal! Lots of variety, but with a common theme.
The musicians did not mind their photos taken at this time.
I sat down listening and enjoying their music which was really very good (The bass player).
Dropped a Dollar as appreciation and then took the camera out to photograph them.
I feel that appreciating an artist's work helps as an ice breaker. Visited them again the following week.
Great pics!! This is a really nice idea for a series of images - do they mind being photographed?
