Roslagsbanan before 1985

The "Roslagsbanan" narrow gauge (0.891m) network just outside Stockholm was during a few years of my life a target for my Minolta XM camera. As a teenager, I was constantly short of money and was therefore always looking for the cheapest film available. A good choice was expired (or near expired) rolls that were bought at a large discount. Inferior types, like Neopan 400, Ilford HP5 and the East-German Orwo were often used. Also, 30.5m rolls of Kodak Tri-X or Plus-X were cut and loaded into cartridges in a completely dark closet.

Being a train junkie, Roslagsbanan was great at that time, with a very mixed and overall very old fashioned stock - even at the standards of that time.

A major upgrade was initiated in the end of the '80s and all of the old stock was gone in beginning of the '90s.
