These giant blocks of concrete creates tension in the the carrying wire, one for each direction. This is station #1 as counted from the Köping side and all in all, there are 12 such stations spread out over the line, which makes 3 per segment.
Given that the ropeway was built during WWII, there was a constant shortage of material. The very light structures are a result of just that and I presume the engineers spent a fair amount of effort in using as light steel girders as possible.
