The skywalk was probably supposed to connect the hotel lobby to the adjacent convention center. The smoke colored plexi-glass and brown walls certainly gives a strong scent of the 1970s. Almost like it would appear all natural if the spaceship Enterprise had docked to it and Dr Spock and captain Kirk would come walking through here.
