Blötberget

The mines at Blötberget - "the wet mountain" or "the wet rock" were long plagued with water seeping into the underground from a wide range of water sources at the surface. It has been claimed that water constituted several times the amount of ore being brought up. The mine was closed in 1979 and the last mining in the region was concentrated to neighbouring Grängesberg, which in turn was closed some ten years later.
