Digitri, you are absolutely right. It IS double bass, or contrabass, as it is called in some places. The street musician was playing a classical piece using a bow, thus it looked, based on technique, as if it was a (violon)cello. Thank you for catching and for good word.

Oh dear, I'm afraid this is a Contrabass (double bass), not a Cello.
