The Water Tower (that was)

The story of this Water Tower is an interesting one and a tragic one all in the same.

The juxtaposition of that which we all know from the suburban childhood, ancient Water tower, target of vandalism.....fallen, askew, disarrayed, we see the decades of age showing in this fallen beast.

Modern day, April 2006, the man who owns this land paid for the "felling" of this water tower to make way for the development of corporate office buildings. On the day that, a man who showed up with his family to quickly and swiftly bring death to this beast, and, instead....he perished himself.

Falling over forty feet to his death, his wife and young child watched as their beloved fell to his death - silently - unglamourously - his life was ended.

This makeshift burial site is all that tells the story of the many deaths occurring here.
