Thomas Swain Documents

The Jacksonville Methodist Church houses copies of the historic documents of Thomas Swain, granting land in Jacksonville to the church and or courthouse. It is not clear how the deal was struck but the courthouse was there, and now the church is. Some say on the same foundations.

Do you have any other info on Thomas S. Swain Family? I'm Thomas S. Swain's Great, Great Granddaughter. I would like to know where he was buried and if you have any info on his son Mark Swain, and who he married. I know Mark married a Fletcher and I think her name was Mary. I have no info either on the Fletcher family. If you could help me I would appreciate it. I also know that Mark's daugther Rebecca Swain married Alexander J. Boney. Mark had a son Thomas also. He also had a son Joseph that I can't find out a thing about.
Your web site is very good and I have been able to find a good bit of info from it. It is so interesting. I for one thank you so much for it. Sincerely, Nan K. Fields
