My GGM was Sarah Jane Wells from Jacksonville. She was related to Brat and Israel Wells along with Mary Jane Wells Graham. Mary Jane and my grandmother, Alberta Owens, were first cousins.

I am a descendant of John Oris Wells, my grandfather. I am not sure where he fits in. But I would like to know more about my family. My mother and her siblings only know my grandfather was from Jacksonville, Ga. My mother now lives in Alapaha. Her name is Josephine Wells. My name is Chakunna. If I can get any information on my family it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for posting, I did research on my ggg-father, I know that he had brothers name James, Doda,Abraham, I would like to know as much knowledge you have regarding the Wells family. Also, my mother grew up in Detroit some of her relatives came there from Jacksonville were named Wells-Maddox, Wells-Moore. My mother's first cousin is named George Wells, he died last year his wife was name Georgia Mae she passed before him. They had only one child a daughter.

I would like to know it Stanley Wells or anybody in his family, knew my gg-grandfather he had several brothers, some of the names were Franklin, Todd, John, Frank Wells...he use to sell kerosen and had many acera's of land in Jackonville, a cousin of his died recently his name was George Wells, he owned a funeral home. I'm looking for a family bible that was sold which had much of my family history in it. If you have any knowledge please contact me. Thank you so very much
