Maloy-Clarke-Chambers House

It is said steamboat builder and captain J.C. Maloy lived here as a young man and that he built the "J.C. Maloy" steamboat when he was only 17 years old! Max and Ida Clark Chambers live here now and graciously consented to my taking a picture of their beautiful home. They are still working on it but the tour I took showed me that much loving work has already gone into this old home. It is located a short distance from Sharon Baptist Church, just west of Jacksonville, Georgia. According to a plaque in the house it was constructed in 1890.
