My friend, Roy McGregor, contributes many materials and photos to Old Jacksonville, Ga. history efforts. He ran trains for a long time and now enjoys history -- and believe me, he is a walking history book! He even heard Bascom Anthony preach! By the way, that is a train whistle in the foreground! Roy's roots were around Lumber City, Ga. His father was also an engineer. Roy now lives in Waycross, Ga. Maybe he and Gen. Billy Steele can help us with more information on the Ocmulgee Valley Railroad that came to Jacksonville, Ga.!
