United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization included 10 Fujian Tulou Clusters in The World Natural Heritages (No. 1113) on July 2008. Tulou in Chinese means house built by soil and wood. Inside it is warm in winter and cooler in summer, soil can adjust humidity in dry/wet weather, the soil used can recycle for planting. These castle-like safe houses were built since the year 769. Now still over thousand exist in the South-East of China. Longitude 116d 45' to 117d 41' East and Latitude 24d 26' to 25d 01' North.
The circular Tsap-Hing House was built in the year 1419 by using bamboo rein enforced soil, it is 66m in diameter, 1.6m thick ground floor wall, and totally has 247 rooms in four floors. It is part of Chuxi Tulou Cluster (No. 1113-01). Chuxi (village name) is in Yong-ding of the Fujian province fringe adjacent with Guangdong province.
