This year, we had a family vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We stayed at The Masters Touch on The Currituck Club in Corolla. Beverly and I were pleased that my sister Rosemary and her son Michael, daughter Megan and her husband Kenny and our son Jack, his wife Dawn, and their son Jack D, and my Father were all able to come. On Sunday, my cousins Joe and Betty, Donna, and John all came to visit.
These photos are both mine and Beverly's. Hers are a bit clearer. I think I may have "sandblasted" my filter during the hour at the beach.
The weather was very windy and limited our beach time to only one day. Even then, it was brief. Still, our grandson kept everyone busy all week long. After the torrential downpour on Thursday, the sun came out for a few hours. We all went to the Currituck lighthouse. Then, it rained again.
Friday was the perfect weather we have come to expect in the OBX. We took advantage of the sunrise and mild breezes to visit the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island in Manteo.
Since this was Jack D's first trip to the OBX, and we are your typically proud grandparents, you might notice photos of the boy tend to dominate this gallery.
