Hi Tim,

Do you mean the Celtic Cross (usually seen as an equal armed cross with a circle surrounding it, but also often seen with a slightly elevated top arm and a long base) or the IHS, which is exactly what Dave said? Or do you mean the standard Celtic knot work on the arms of the cross?

The symbol IHS is a monogram of the first three letters of the Greek word for Jesus: IHSOUS.
