Looked at some pictures in your gallerie and they are great.
You really play with the light and have some very good result with that.
Also nice to see the differences. I will be back, you are in my favorites models folder.

Hi! I am putting together a regional photography website at http:/www.theallegheny.com and I would love it if I could display a couple of your photos. A copyright statement and a link to your favorite website is included with each photo. Nice work on your allegheny shots!

Thanks for posting some clues about your lighing and PP techniques on DPReview. Your work proves photography is still all about the light and the lens, even in a digital age.

Excellent galleries and especially portraits. I love how you are using the HDR technique to produce these painterly effects. Thanks.

Dear Ray, I´m amazed by your portraits and the added photoshop manipulations..the intensity and drama you create is unique and very very good. Could you give me a hint on how you do this?

Ray,
We talked for a while down at the aviary.
I thought I would see you at the Art Show at the National Aviary this past week but somehow missed you.
Took a look at your photos on PBase before the show. I especially like the Tionesta scenes.
Hope you did get to the art show even if I missed you.

Hi Ray, Thank you for your kind comments. We have just arrived back in England in the last 3 days. Home sickness set in so we have come home for a while to sort our heads out but plan to go back to Aus in around two years to get my citizenship. We will head back to beautiful Perth. I do hope your dream comes true and you make your trip Down Under. Its a shame you can't talk your wife into going with you as the experience you will have would be great to share as we did.
I noticed you have framed your photo's nicely. Could you possibly let me know what program you have used for this as I am not up on that side of things. I will have a better look at your Gallery very soon. All the best from cold and wet England!

Nice gallery collection. I especially like the landscapes from around Butler, PA.

Ray, I have a question for you. I have some photos at Shutterpoint.com too, and that's how I noticed your great closeups. I recently bought a Canon S45, which takes some great photos. My closeups, however, are sometimes good, sometimes blurred. Are you taking yours through the viewfinder or through the LCD on back, or what? I just cannot get it.Often the viewfinder isn't convenient to use physically, so I use the LCD, but in brighter light, what looks focused often really isn't. Can I scratch your brain for a suggestion?
Thanks for your nice website. It is very entertaining!
Joe
