As I go through these old images from over the years, I find more and more images of Kim winding up in my “favorites” folder. She answered a little add in the local newspaper that said in essence, “Models wanted, no experience necessary”. When she first came in she was, (I thought), too thin and gangly and too shy to ever work out. I was pleasantly delighted, for even with no experience at all, she quickly became my favorite model of all time. She could give me any expression I asked for ... “shy”, “wistful”, “bright and perky”, “come hither” … whatever I wanted or needed. She was a great model and became a great friend over the years. Immediately after this shoot, we ran screaming and laughing hysterically around the rooms with her trying to hug me and smear the cake batter all over me until I was finally able to grab her and throw her in the shower to wash the mess off of her. It’s one of my favorite memories in the studio.
