Red Wing-Tipped Faery Goodbye

Tallahassee / Quincy, Florida

I think the weather is just too cool for the little Faeries, for I haven’t seen any around for the last few days. Tonight I was sitting at my desk working on some files on the computer when through the cracked open front door this little Faery came darting in and started buzzing around my ears, laughing and chirping in her little Faery talk. It was my little friend, the Red Wing-tipped Faery! It was almost like she was paying me the honor of visiting before she flew off to warmer fields and flowers, for this was one of the few times a Faery had visited me inside the house. Since I had my camera at the desk, I took this quick shot, and then giggling and twittering in her little Faery chatter she flew all around the room poking her head into vases and lanterns and everything else that caught her attention. With a final little chirp as if to say “See Ya!” she was out the door and sadly, probably gone until next Spring.
