Much more than just a place of education
The 'Oratorio Don Bosco' also provides a host of activities - social, cultural and
recreational - targeted at the area's young people

The Solimene ceramics workshops
One of a very small number of modern buildings anywhere on the
Amalfi Coast, and the work of a student of Frank Lloyd Wright.
A CSTP bus, passing through Vietri after setting off from Salerno,
approaching its stop just beyond the Solimene ceramics centre.
The blue sign at the left may have "SITA" written on it, but this
is where you'd catch a variety of buses, including those that go
to the town's railway station... or to Amalfi or Pompei.
CSTP bus routes from Vietri
The route indicator for CSTP buses that's to be seen near the Solimene ceramics centre.
After we'd walked down the slope that leads from Vietri's railway station (called by Trenitalia and
the Ferrovia del Stato "Vietri sul Mare-Amalfi") to the main road, we saw #4 and #9 buses - and it
appears the #1 follows the same route - so any would be useful for between here and the station.
If heading to the station from here, be sure to stand on the Solimene side of the road, or the bus
you catch will whisk you to Salerno! The sign says only SITA, but buses of both lines use it.
Whilst the 4 continues on to Pompei, and stops at the archaeological site's main 'Porta Marina'
entrance, it does take some time to get there - whereas by train the journey - to Pompei's
main FS station - takes just 35 minutes. On arrival that way, the site's probably more
readily approached through the 'Piazza Anfiteatro' entrance....

Note that the entry "Pompei" refers to that town's Trenitalia station, which is
in Piazza XXVIII Marzo - and the furthest from either of the main entries to the
