A quick run through the gardens and galleries at this
wonderful museum - set in the ruins of the huge complex
of public baths constructed by the Emperor Diocletian.
Visited at a time when much of it was closed for restoration!
The complex dates from around 300AD and originally covered an
even larger area. Today its presence is reflected in the name
of the central train station - Roma Termini; not because it's
a terminus (although the train lines do finish there) but for
'Terme', the Italian for baths...
