The bus will drop you at an awkward spot - on a tight bend in the main road.

For La Mortella take the small road that leads downhill from the angle of the bend
(look out for a road sign, saying “Via Francesco Calise”) and continue for perhaps
600 yards to reach the main entrance, which is easily recognised....it’s a large
building covered in greenery, on the right.

To allow staff time to work, the gardens only open on certain days of each week...

The 2013 year runs from Thursday 28 March until Sunday 3 November, with the gardens
opening on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays - from 9.00 to 19.00.
