With a bottle bank in the courtyard (busy between 1 and 2AM with the
empties from Campo de' Fiori bars and restaurants) and, at 6AM, the
square's cleanup staff arriving by moped at their ground-floor depot,
then the market stall-holders, a first level apartment here proved
to be our worst-ever choice of accommodation - not just in Rome,
but on any and all of our travels!
After a week with every night's sleep being interrupted, the day
after Christmas we could take it no longer and moved out.... even
though, at such a busy time, all we could find was a pricey but
wonderful 6th floor room at the nearby (lovely) Hotel Ponte Sisto.
That did however have its advantages once New Year's Eve arrived....
