Representation of a Carthusian monk, masterfully painted on the inside of a wooden door,
and along one wall, of the 'Cloisters of Michelango'.
An inscription, signed by the artist Filippo Balbi and dated 1855, declares this to be
Fercoldo (elsewhere known as Fulcodi) - whose son was to go on to become the unfortunate
Pope, Clement IV - after he'd taken to the order on the death of his wife.
