Attempts (some more successful than others) to improve a few "hazy" photos taken
from the 'Metro del Mare' hydrofoil on an early September afternoon, when on the
way from Salerno to Naples.

We'd maybe chosen our day unwisely, and things were worse than usual... and indeed,
to the eye, and in my recollections, it didn't seem too bad... however what the
camera recorded tells a different story?

Possibly though it was thanks to smoke from the controlled burning-off of dead
vegetation and undergrowth.... something which local regulations apparently allow
vineyards, citrus and olive growers to start doing from 1st September onwards!

(Side note: more recently, the MdM services have been successively reduced, with
them not going to Salerno at all in 2012. As of April 2013, no news of what may
be on offer this year!)
