The Caremar fleet...
As well as their distinctive red and white hydrofoils - "ALISCAFI" - Caremar also
have two classes of car/passenger ferries, each with space for some 60 vehicles:
.
Traghetto or "NAVE" - 17 knots - 1050 passengers - 'Fauno', Naiade, Sibilla etc -
five very similar craft - all with two large, openair passenger areas.
.
Traghetto Veloce or "TMV" - 25 knots - 520 passengers - 'Isola di Capri' & 'Isola di
Procida' - faster but only a small covered area, overlooking the loading ramp.
.
.
Their website gives journey times to Ischia as: Hydrofoil 45 minutes, TMV 60 minutes,
Nave 90 minutes - but perhaps allow a little more, especially if stopping in at Procida!
