Cycling up Awana (Genting), 2 Oct 2005. Genting is a part of Tour d'Langkawi route.

Finally, KFC actually made the Awana cycling trip into reality. Just before Ramadan begins. Unfortunately only two bona fide KFC members turned up, Zoob and Doc Olmo. The rest who came were associates, comprising Edwin (and his new bride) on the tandem, Heng (to whom Awana is a regular thing, i.e. kacang to him), Seong (who cycled all the way from Damansara, hence turned back at Genting Sempah). Thank God Olmo decided to bring the car up to Taman Lim Goh Tong. As it turned out, we had a fully-laden car going down. Four punctures -- one on Zoob's tubular tyre, and 3 times on the rear wheel of Edwin's tandem! He should install disc brakes. (PLEASE CLICK ON THUMBNAILS TO ENLARGE).
