_MG_8150 Indignant Tobacco Hornworm

One-handed shot with auto focus of the 60mm Canon ef-s macro lens. I love it! (no extension tube(s) After this picture was taken, he was banished to another part of the property where there are no tomato plants. Could you kill such a beautiful creature?

Canon EOS 20D
1/400s f/5.6 at 60.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

They are beautiful in a way but they make me shudder and what they can do to a tomato plant in one day is a crime! Terrific shot Isabel. I like the finger being in the shot, it gives one the idea of it's size.

Very nicely done with the macro lens - and such good balance with one hand.

Indignant, indeed. I considered capital punishment, but the crime was more serious in my case ...
