Thanksgiving Cat

Was there ever a cat that wasn't photogenic?

Thank you, C.J., for your kind words about this and my other images. I learned a secret for getting good saturated colors on Sony Talk (dpreview.com) when I expressed my disappointment at the more muted colors of the 717. I was told to try the haze-cutting unsharp mask setting of 30-60-1 (playing with those settings, of course). It is amazing what those settings will do. Try it on one of your "blah" images. I'm sure I must have used it on Louie with those Thanksgiving flowers!

Wow!! The colors are beautifully saturated, the details in the blooms are crisp and clear, and (as always) the cat is VERY photogenic. I have been using the 2100-UZ for a couple of years (like it a lot), and will certainly look into the Sony models.
