Far from ideal setup! Camera is too high. Should be on animal's level. The results of this setup are shown after the "next" photo, which shows a rice bag I use to keep the stand from tipping over. So far have only experimented with bounce flash in this mode. The Canon off-camera cord, http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=details_accessories&A=details&Q=&sku=12972&is=REG&addedTroughType=accessory_detail&addedTroughValue=348457_USA is quite tightly coiled and doesn't stretch very far. Reviews on Amazon's site state that the cord doesn't hold up. I suspect that's because it may be treated roughly by people trying to stretch it. There's probably some sort of expensive extension for it...or at least that would be nice to have. Have to try direct and see what happens. The bracket on that lightstand is there because I use the stand to hold both an umbrella and a flash. Here's the packing: http://www.pbase.com/isabel95/image/13710118
