Difficult Lighting

Very strong sun was coming through this window. The dynamic range in this sort of afternoon lighting is too great for the camera to deal with. Either I can have some detail in the dark fur and the white fur blown out, or the white fur toned down and no detail in the dark fur. This is a compromise and the only really useful image of about 8 images. You will note there is a strong minus compensation. I also used the shadow/highlight adjustment in Photoshop to tone down the brightness on the cushion and to bring out detail in the shadowed fur. Click on "next" to see original
