The minus 2 exposure compensation was a surprise when I looked at the EXIF. I could barely see the settings in the viewfinder in the bright sun and this was taken at the worst time of day...as it is the highlights were still quite bright...just goes to prove how you can save RAW images! I used the shadow/highlight adjustment to tone down the overexposed areas.
