How Slow Can You Capture?

Gary, of the Digipets group, inspired me to try modes I had never tried on the 717. This was taken in Twilight Mode, handheld. Only light in my room was a 13 watt fluorescent desklamp behind me. I didn't realized until after I had taken the picture that it was on +1 EV or that it was taken at 1/2 second! (Handheld) How low can you handhold a picture? I'll bet lower than you think if you SQUEEZE that shutter button and hold your elbows tightly to your body, camera up to your eye...or lean your elbow up against a wall.
